What: University of Lethbridge Mace Program to visit Bow Island’s St. Michael’s School
When: Tuesday, May 3, 2016, 2 p.m.
Where: St. Michael’s School, 320 2 Ave. E
The University of Lethbridge Mace Program will visit St. Michael’s School as Convocation Chief Marshal Dr. Sheila McManus, dressed in full regalia, will speak about the history of regalia and symbols to Grade 6 students. Students will then have the opportunity to don white gloves and hold the mace, which has been used in U of L Convocation ceremonies since being dedicated in 1988.
The U of L Mace Program has been visiting schools since 2013.
