What is Women & Gender Studies?
Answer:
The goal of Women & Gender Studies is to increase the recognition of, and appreciation for, women and their lived experiences. Gender, as a focus of analysis, is used as a framework to study and reconceptualize a variety of academic disciplines in order to better illuminate and report women's perspectives. Utilising feminist theory and research methodologies, courses in Women's Studies provide a comprehensive examination of the historical and contemporary experiences and contributions of women in society.
