Three of our graduate students in Computer Science participated at the "Meeting of the Minds" conference organized by ULGSA this year - Ben Burnett, Shah Khaled, and Stephen Nsoh.
I am pleased to report that Khaled's presentation titled "Wireless Mesh Network Design" received the "Best Overall Talk" award. In total, two awards were given, Khaled's being a tie with a colleague from Chemistry.
Ben's poster "Grid Computing in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science" and Stephen's poster "Joint Routing and Scheduling in WiMAX Mesh Networks" were extremely well attended. They were both busy talking for the entire 180 minutes of the poster session!
Stephen and Khaled's work was also recently accepted for presentation at the IEEE Workshop on Integrated Enabling Technologies in Vancouver 2012.
Congratulations to Ben, Khaled, and Stephen for their excellent work.
