American Periodicals with a Canadian Twist

When AP, the journal of the Research Society for American Periodicals, moved from the University of North Texas to the Ohio State University in 2003, it served a couple of hundred association members and their university libraries.  Over the past eight years, as the OSU Press expanded its digital publishing program, American Periodicals became available in more than a thousand libraries worldwide.  Its editorial work has been handled since 2010 by Cynthia Patterson at the University of South Florida Polytechnic, Karen Roggenkamp at Texas A&M Commerce, and Craig Monk at the U of L. By collaborating over nearly three thousand miles to create a journal that is available both in hard copy and digitally, its editors hope to make AP a model for scholarship in the twenty-first century.
