Bruker Avance II 300 MHz

Our Facility is home to a two channel 300 MHz Bruker Avance II solution state NMR Spectrometer. This spectrometer is equipped with a 5mm two channel BBFO solutions probe that has a deuterium lock channel and VT capabilities from -150 to +150 degrees celcius. This probe is also equiped with an auto tuning and match accessory.

This spectrometer is housed in the instrument room of the undergraduate chemistry teaching labs in University Hall (D771-B). It is used for teaching undergraduate spectroscopy in our advanced chemistry and introduction organic chemistry labs. The instrument is also utilized by the synthetic chemists in our department, as it is in close proximity to the synthetic chemistry research labs.

This instrument was purchased in 2005 with the support of a $250,000 NSERC RTI award.
