ILC Student Bursary Program - July 2013

Mark Your Calendar - The ILC Beef 2013 Student Program is now being held in conjunction with the world-renowned Calgary Stampede Tuesday, July 9, 2013 to Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino, 1000, 11500 - 35 Street SE in Calgary, Alberta. 

This year we have an exciting new program filled with expert presentation discussing 'What's Next' which will reflect of what challenges the industry has faced in the past, and what was done to address them; but it is also an opportunity to look forward and question how we prepare for the future of the industry and what are industry players going to do to ensure customer and consumer confidence.

We are excited to announce that this year's ILC Student Bursary Program will be held in July, in conjunction with the world renowned Calgary Stampede! The ILC Student Program includes:

• An orientation dinner and welcome dinner for the award winners on Tuesday, July 9, 2013
• On Wednesday, July 10, 2013, the students will participate in the International Livestock Congress with over 350 delegates to hear an overview of: international economics, global demand and how to set the stage in the beef industry to prepare for what's next from our expert line-up of speakers. • On July 11 and 12, students will attend a one and a half day tour, to some of Alberta's most important beef industry stakeholders in southern and central Alberta such as Cargill Meat Plant, several Feedlot Operations, and innovations at Olds College and University of Calgary Veterinary College to name a few stops.
• The students will take center stage and present their views on major beef industry issues at the ILC Student Forum on Friday, July 12, 2013 in the afternoon.
• YAHOO! After the Student Forum, the students will go together to the exciting Chuckwagon races and Grandstand Show at the Calgary Stampede!
