Hi everyone,

I wanted to bring to your attention the dozens of jobs (close to 100) we already have for Spring and Summer 2012! I don’t want you to miss out on these amazing opportunities, so be sure to check the job board today.

We have oil and gas companies (who are posting for summer so this is your chance!) government and private companies across Canada, and even some international opportunities coming in the next few weeks.

A couple of hints:

• It is a great idea to go on a Co-op work term in the Spring (January) if you can; there is less competition and the employers often prefer to extend you thru the summer rather than repost for summer and hire another student
• Make sure your resume is up-to-date with your summer experience and be sure to add skills gained from your classes you are currently taking
• Please send your resume to your Coordinator who will give you feedback before applying for any jobs
• Read the job description and how to apply section carefully!
• If you apply to a job which is posted online on an employer’s website make sure you “mirror” the words they use in the skill requirements as they often scan the resumes for key word. Make sure you let us know what you are applying for as the employers contact us to ensure you are a Co-op student and we can help you manage this process, assisting with ranking, interview prep, etc.
