Disciplinary Credit Applied Studies courses are designed so that students may use a paid or volunteer work placement to explore topics within an academic context. All Disciplinary Credit Applied Studies courses are completed in conjunction with a Faculty Advisor. Your role as a Faculty Advisor includes...
discussing with and approving a student’s learning objectives
discussing the job (paid or volunteer) description and learning objectives with the student
discussing with the student an appropriate final project format & length
indicating your willingness to support an Applied Studies course by signing the
Registration Form
acting as a resource to the student throughout the project grading and evaluating the final project
