Advising Hours

The Arts and Science Student Program Services Office (SU060) is open Monday through Friday, year-round from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Arts & Science Student Program Advisors see students on a walk-in basis only from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays) and from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

*During the first week of classes in the Fall (Sept 3 - 10), Arts & Science Advisors are available from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.*

Advising Services

• Assistance with academic program planning for new (high school), transfer, continuing, pre-professional, post-diploma, second degree and prospective U of L students
• Assistance in choosing program of studies and major(s)
• Course selection
• Course sequencing
• Explanation and interpretation of Academic Regulations
• Assistance with academic program progress and accurate completion of Program Planning Guides
• Referrals to other academic advising units and/or student services when necessary
• Assistance with course Add/Drop
• Assistance with course withdrawals
• Assistance with program changes
• Registration assistance
• Approval of Independent Study registrations
• Reception of Pre/Corequisite Waiver Forms
• Assistance with and approval of requests for Visiting Student Authorization
• Registration assistance for students on Academic Probation
• Assistance for students planning to return after being Required to Withdraw
