Disclaimer: Your official grade point average is located on your Academic Record. Always rely on the grade point average recorded on your transcript.
The following GPA calculators are from Dalhousie University, but can help U of L students set goals and understand the impact that grades may have on your grade point average.
In order to use these calculators effectively, you need to be familiar with the following terms:
Calculator 1: Calculate a term GPA based on your anticipated grades and see the effect on your CGPA.
Calculator 2: Calculate the GPA you need on a set number of courses to reach a target GPA. If you are planning to repeat a course, subtract the credit hours and grade points for the course you are planning to repeat from those listed on your working copy transcript.
Important note: Dalhousie University assigns 'A+' grades a grade point value of 4.3. At the University of Lethbridge, 'A+' grades are assigned a grade point value of 4.0 (the same as for 'A' grades). When using these calculators, select an 'A' when you have earned or are expecting an 'A+', unless you are trying to calculate your GPA for the purposes of earning Distinction or Great Distinction (see the Undergraduate Calendar for details on institutional honours).
