Philip Black retired in 2010. Black enjoys bicycling, motorcycle rides, exercising, reading, leather working and travel.

Stephen Ulrich is an architect doing humanitarian design work in developing countries.
Steve Wilson (BEd ’79)
Steve Wilson, who has been a fixture on the volleyball scene in southern Alberta for more than 40 years as a player, coach and mentor, was one of four people named as 2018 inductees into the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame.
1980s
Richard Dyck (BASc (BSc) ’81)
Richard Dyck completed his Msc and PhD degrees in Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia. He is currently working in the Department of Psychology at the University of Calgary as a professor.
Christine Rogers (BMus ‘84)
Christine has been teaching with the U of L Conservatory of Music since 1982 as a piano and theory instructor.
Julie Maciura (BASc (BA) ’87)
Julie Maciura is the Managing Partner of Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc. Julie has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario representing the interests of regulators on appeals and judicial review applications.
Greg Paskuski (BA 88’, BEd ’98)
Greg Paskuski was the bass/guitar musician in the New West Theatre production of Starlight.
Roger Schultz (BFA ’89)
Roger Schultz was honoured with a Best Technical Set Design award for his work on the Perth Theatre’s professional production of the mystery thriller I’ll Be Back Before Midnight at the Classical Theatre Festival.
1990s
Drew Neilson (BEd ’92)
The Erskine School has found a new principal in Drew Neilson. He has been an administrator for 10 years and a teacher for 15 years before that.
Colin Armstrong (BMus/BEd ’94)
Colin Armstrong was recently selected as the new Artistic Director and Conductor of the Southern Delaware Chorale. Armstrong also was one of the guest conductors of the U of L Singers Reunion Choir at 50 Years of Music and Music-Making.
Kelly Moore (BA ’95)
The Rev. Kelly Moore was installed as pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Mocksville. Kelly Moore also acts as one of the conveners of the Moravian Church’s Mental Health Round Table, a group that seeks ways to educate others on mental health and help end the stigma against it.
Sandra Davidson (BN ’96)
Prior to her current appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta, she served as Dean of Nursing and then Chief Academic Officer for Carrington College based in Phoenix, Arizona. In a nutshell, her clinical practice has focused on assisting clients to live well and age well.
Wayne Deis (BA/BEd ’96)
Wayne Deis is currently teaching in Medicine Hat at Notre Dame Academy. He is the lead instructor for the Soccer Academy and has been teaching for 22 years.
Jason Eveleigh (BMgt ’97)
Jason Eveleigh was the sound designer for the New West Theatre production of Starlight.
Devon May (BMgt ’98)
Devon May was inducted into the Winston Churchill Hall of Fame. He is currently the senior vice-president, finance, with American Airlines in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Carla Pavan (BSc ’98)
Carla Pavan was inducted into the Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame.
Becky Forchuk (BA/BEd ’99)
Becky Forchuk was appointed by the Foothills School Division as the new principal for the new K to Nine school being built in Okotoks, set to be opened in 2019.
Teresa Hanlon (MA ’99)
Teresa Hanlon is a retreat leader, healing-prayer minister and spiritual director since 2008. Hanlon is completing DMin studies at St. Stephen’s College.
2000s
Erica Hunt (BFA ’00)
Erica Hunt was the comedy writer and a performer in the New West Theatre production of Starlight.
Amanda Berg (BA/BMgt ’04)
Amanda Berg represented the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge as part of her role on Team Lethbridge. Facilitated by Economic Development Lethbridge, Team Lethbridge meets with MLAs and all Ministers to raise awareness of how the city of Lethbridge contributes to the province and how the city can work with our government representatives to support long-term success for Alberta. Amanda contributed by speaking to ministers about our strong arts community and our great collaborative relationships with other organizations in Lethbridge.
Nick Sullivan (BMus ’04)
Nick Sullivan recently published a set of duets for low brass instruments. Sullivan is also performing as a recitalist across Western Canada and has presented the Canadian premiere of 3 new works for bass trombone, two performed in Lethbridge and one in Vancouver.

Matt Secretan (BSc ’05)

Jay Whitehead (BFA ’05)
Jay Whitehead starred in New West Theatre and Theatre Outre’s joint production of Vigil by Morris Panych during 11 performances in the Trianon Gallery.
Peter Casurella (BA ’06, BA ’11)
Peter Casurella recently accepted a position as the new Executive Director of the SouthGrow Regional Initiative. SouthGrow encompasses 24 communities and over 170,000 residents. Casurella is tasked with coordinating and pushing forward the regions’ economic development priorities.
Jamie Dunsdon (BFA ’06)
Jamie Dunsdon worked as the director for Verb Theatre’s production of Blackbird, which ran from November 8-19 in Calgary’s Arts Commons Motel Theatre.
Adrienne Breakwell (BMgt ’07)
Adrienne Breakwell joined Kingston Ross Pasnak LLP in 2007 and was promoted to manager in October of 2011. She has worked extensively in the Accounting & Assurance services area serving a wide variety of clients in the public and private sectors.
Silvana Campus (BASc ’08, BEd ’10)
Silvana Campus is the 2018 recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction award for Education and Mentorship.
Paul Govenlock (BA ’08)
Paul was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2012 after completing an Undergrad in Psychology at the University of Lethbridge and a Bachelor of Law at the University of Alberta. His experience practicing employment law, general litigation and real-estate law from 2012 to 2015 provided him valuable insight into the court systems and trial processes.

Felipe Civita Ferreira (BMgt ’15)
Felipe Civita Ferreira was recognized by the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation (ACGC) for designing the Wandering in Wilderness Program, which provides immigrants opportunities to access safe and inclusive outdoor experiences. Working with the Calgary Immigrant Educational Society, Ferreira and a friend were able to procure outdoor supplies from local businesses and then guide new Canadians on educational hiking tours in the wilderness as a method of stress relief. The initiative earned Ferreira recognition from ACGC as one of this year's Top 30 Under 30.

Ashley Henrickson was a recipient of the 2017 Government of Canada History Award, worth $2,000. The awards honours the exceptional work of university students studying history, for the significance of their research in Canadian history, or education, for the originality of an activity for teaching Canadian history and the work of high school students who have shown an interest in great moments in Canadian history.
Greg MacArthur (MFA ’16)
Greg MacArthur had his play A Man Vanishes published in the Videofag Book. The Videofag Book is a chronicle of stories through multiple voices and mediums that tells the tale of four years at Toronto’s Videofag art space.
Shawn Barber (BA/BMgt ’17)
Shawn Barber has recently found a permanent role at Gordon Food Service Calgary. He is thrilled and beyond excited to start the next chapter of his career and life at GFS.

Connor Harvey-Derbyshire (BMus ’17)
Connor Harvey-Derbyshire received research and creation funding from the Canada Council for the Arts in the Explore and Create: Concept to Realization program. Harvey-Derbyshire will engage in a year-long sonic project in the fantastical City of Ohm, exploring contemporary experimental electronic musicianship.

Michelle Lafferty was cast in an upcoming Canadian premiere opera by composer Victor Davies based on the play The Ecstasy of Rita Joe by George Ryga.

Peter Millman is the Lethbridge Sport Council 2017 winner of the Servus Credit Union Outstanding Sports Citizen award.
