Employment

Students are surveyed two years after graduation.*

The University of Lethbridge continues to score extremely well in the provincial government’s Key Performance Indicators. In 2005 we received top ratings for our employment rates for graduates, accessibility and research – we also scored a 95 percent student satisfaction rate.

More graduates now earn degrees directly related to their intended careers, and all graduates are more aware of the value of their academic skills to employers.


Higher education reduces the risk of unemployment. Degree graduates have the lowest unemployment rates under all economic conditions, and the lowest variation from good times to bad.

Satisfaction

Students were surveyed two years after graduation.

The University of Lethbridge offers a high quality educational experience in which high quality teaching plays a central role.

When freshman students were asked to rate their level of satisfaction the following aspects received a 90% or greater rating of very satisfied/satisfied:

  • Average Class Sizes
  • Instructional Facilities
  • Personal Safety
  • Computer Services
  • Athletic Facilities

When graduating students were asked to rate their level of satisfaction with professoriate (members of academic staff) the following characteristics received a 90% or greater level of agreement from students:
